About our founder
Michael Pat
In the world of French floral artistry, where heritage meets modernity, Michael Pat has emerged as one of Asia’s youngest and most influential voices. Based in Hong Kong and Macau, he is not only a designer but also an educator and brand founder, reshaping the way floral design is understood and experienced in the region. Michael’s journey began at the age of eighteen, when he left for France to study under MOF masters such as Pascal Phaner, Benoit Saint-Amend, Isabelle Brethome, Florence Cornet, and Jérôme Naulet. Trained with the precision of haute couture craftsmanship, he absorbed the rigor of classical French floristry while shaping his own contemporary vision. By 2014, he had already graduated at the top of his class from the NIVEAU 3 Advanced French Floral Design Diploma, the youngest to ever achieve this distinction. His competitive spirit soon took him to the international stage: a Top 10 finalist at the 2016 World Floral Design Championship in Tours, and by 2017, at just 23, the youngest competitor to reach the Top 4. In 2025, he claimed the International Champion title at the Palladium Flower Cup in France, also finishing as Overall Second Place — a moment that affirmed his place among the global elite. But Michael’s impact extends beyond competition. He has served as Director of PIVERDIE Macau and PIVERDIE Hong Kong, and in 2025 was appointed Dean of Asia at ASAF – Académie Supérieure d’Art Floral. At the same time, he founded three brands — LPV, GP, and HANA — through which he has trained over 4,000 students across Hong Kong and Macau. His classrooms are not only spaces of technical mastery but also laboratories of aesthetics, where French floral traditions are reimagined for a contemporary Asian audience. Luxury maisons such as Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Dior, and Cartier have sought his vision, commissioning him to design and to teach. He has also been a consultant for Sofitel Macau, a lecturer at the University of Macau, and a partner for government and cultural institutions, bringing floral artistry into the fabric of civic life. For Michael Pat, flowers are not merely decorative objects — they are a language. A medium that speaks of culture, identity, and transformation. His work bridges East and West, tradition and innovation, design and storytelling. Today, he represents a new generation of French floral artistry in Asia, a force bringing professionalism, creativity, and cultural relevance to the global stage.
